EVENT INFORMATION
Rules and Regulations

Anyone above the age of 15 can enter the video competition except for staff, members and officers of the organizer.

Participants may enter the contest as individual or group. Only the leader of the group is required to register for the group.

Participants must be either a Malaysian, live in Malaysia or currently studying in Malaysia.

Participants who registered will receive an email verifying their registration within 1 or 2 days.
Video Format
-
The video submitted must be minimum of 1 minute long but not exceeding 4 minutes ( 1 – 4 minutes )

Video submitted can be either long, landscape or portrait. For guide on IGTV video size, please refer to the following website: http://bit.ly/3ro0xOk

Participants are recommended to submit a thumbnail along with the video.

Video submitted must be an MP4 format and less than 3.6 GB

There are no restriction to the content, theme nor the genre of the video. The video can range from showcasing of talent, drama, short skit, comedy skit, music video, funny or to anything creative that the participant can create.

Content of the video should avoid sensitive issues, politic, harassment, sexual and religious issues.

Video submitted must be an original video created by the participant.

Video submitted must not have been used at anywhere else or posted on the Internet.

Participant should pay attention to the music and sounds used in the video such that it does not violate any copyright laws.

The participant who registered must appear in the video at least once for verification purposes. It is up to the participant’s creativity on how to appear in the video.

Majority of the video’s content must be recorded and produced in either English or Bahasa Malaysia. If other languages are used briefly, English subtitles are to be included.
Prizes
There are two categories of prizes to be won:
Public Vote Prize
RM50

The videos submitted by the participants will be uploaded to Instagram for the public to vote for the videos they love by liking the video.

The most liked video will win the Public Vote Prize.
Judges Vote Prize
1st RM200 2nd RM100 3rd RM50

The top 10 most liked videos will be selected to contest in the Judges Vote Prize. The judges from Kudiostar will judge and rank the 10 videos selected.

The top 3 videos will win the Judges Vote Prize.
All winners will get one certificate of participation from Asia Pacific University
FAQ
1. Can I upload my video after the contest to any sites online like Youtube or Instagram?
Yes, you may do so after the competition has ended on 24 January 2021.
2. Can stock footages and images from online be used in my video?
Yes, as long as the stock footages or images aren't the majority of the video.
3. Do Kudiostar hold any rights or claims on our video?
Nope, Your video is rightfully yours. We will not publish or do anything with your video aside from posting it on our Instagram and showcasing your video on the live winner announcement stream if you win.
4. Can I submit a video I have created before?
If the video has not been posted or used anywhere else, then yes.
5. Can I submit a video montage of gaming clips?
Yes, you may if you feel the video is interesting and the public will like it.
6. Where and when can I submit my video?
On the 9th of January 2021, we will send you the link to submit your video.
7. How long does my face have to appear in the video?
Just briefly will be good enough.
8. I want to use music that is in other languages, do I need to put subtitles?
Nope. Subtitles are only needed if you converse or talk in other languages.
